so i just moved to taiwan last week. i'm teaching english in a private school in hsinchu (about 75km south of Taipei), and i'll probably be here for a year or two. i hope to return to the bay area at some point, because i dearly miss berkeley people and all of their delightful oddities. i'll most likely be visiting next year sometime. taiwan is lovely - prices are reasonable and the weather is pleasant. tata.
as a humorous aside, i've decided to include a sample of my students' writing. today's gem:
'If there are no beavers, then the dams will be gone. The ponds will be gone. The fish and the frongs will be gone. Everything will be gone. The world will be gone.'
